Riverbend is pleased to announce the hiring of Jahmeelah Bai-Grandson as its newest Clinical Director at the Solstice House, a co-occurring enhanced women’s residential treatment facility that opened in January 2024.
In this position, she will be responsible for all clinical programming and services at the Solstice House, including group programming, case management, case coordination, intakes and discharges. Bai-Grandson will work alongside the Program Director to help clients as they navigate treatment and make strides towards their recovery.
Bai-Grandson brings a wealth of experience with over 20 years of fieldwork from residential treatment centers to most recently the founding Principal of the Neighborhood House Charter School, one of the first charter schools in Massachusetts. Her clinical background allowed her to build a team at Neighborhood House Charter School of three full-time clinicians and a psychologist for the 350-scholar body.
“I am excited to join the team at Riverbend and get back to my roots as a clinician,” said Jahmeelah Bai-Grandson. “While it has been a privilege to work in education and help so many adolescents through their high school journey, I look forward to this chapter and being able to take those experiences and use them to help the individuals I will now serve on their journey of recovery.”
Bai-Grandson holds a Masters of Public Health and a Masters of Social Work both from Boston University along with various certifications. Additionally, Jahmeelah is a sports mom to two amazing children, Faith & CJ, and their adorable dog, Puka!
