Assisting those without the means to still receive care for Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Treatment.
Riverbend has launched the Free Care Fund to support treatment for individuals with a substance use disorder. The Free Care Fund covers the cost of free and uncompensated care for every person who needs the expert and compassionate care of Riverbend, but who cannot afford it. Individuals and their families living with substance use disorder (SUD) face many uncertainties
— affording their loved one’s care should not be one of them.
“Providing care to all regardless of their financial means has always been a core pillar to the Riverbend mission,” said Michael Reinke, CEO, Riverbend. “Over the last year alone we provided over $500,000 in free care to individuals across Merrimack Valley. By starting this fund, we increase our ability to continue to provide care to those individuals and families who are struggling with financial difficulties, and hope to increase the number of people we help each year.”
Examples of direct services thatRiverbend provides as a part of the Free Care Fund:
• SUD Mental Health Evaluations and Treatment
• Intensive Structured Day Programming
• Therapy for Individuals and Families
• Basic Primary Care to the Local Homeless Population
• Narcan Training / Distribution
